Hundreds of years ago in Stony Stratford, coaches travelling between London and Birmingham would change horses at two local inns… The Cock, and The Bull. Drinkers there became renowned for telling tall tales with a pint in hand, and this is where the phrase ‘cock and bull’ came from. Here at FOSTER’S, we think there’s nothing better than a bit of pub banter, so we’ve partnered with straight-talking TV personality Tom Skinner and a professional polygraph examiner to create the Cock and Bull Detector. You can watch Tom put it to the test here.
Turns out the incredible stories he tells down the pub might actually be true! Pub banter is what makes going to your local a British institution, so we’re putting £1,000 behind the bar in towns and cities across England this July, so you and your mates can enjoy a pint on us. Terms apply PubTerms
